Eczema Awareness Month

Keaton Migneault

October is Eczema Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about eczema and remind those living with it that they are not alone.

Eczema is a common skin condition that can cause dryness, itching, redness, irritation, and inflammation. While eczema can affect people of all ages, everyone’s experience can look a little different. Flare-ups may be triggered by things such as weather changes, stress, certain products, or environmental factors.

The good news is that there are ways to help manage symptoms. Gentle skin care, regular moisturizing, identifying personal triggers, and working with a healthcare professional can all be part of an effective care routine.

Here at Roseville Dermatology, we carry the Obagi Rebalance Skin Barrier Recovery Cream. This light weight cream is recognized by the National Eczema Assocation and helps to balance the skin microbiome with postbiotics, hydrating agents, and soothing ingredients. Applying this product will help to relive active eczema flare ups.

This month, let’s educate, support, and show compassion to those living with eczema. A little awareness can go a long way toward helping people feel understood and empowered to care for their skin.

Eczema awareness matters — because healthy skin is about more than appearance; it’s about comfort, confidence, and quality of life.
